Sort their Google reviews by newest. Ignore the star average. Read the last ten. Recent reviews tell you how the company runs today; the average tells you how it ran across its whole history. Also see whether the owner responds to complaints — that's a live signal.

Ask for a daylight photo of the specific bus. Not the gallery. The vehicle available on your date, shot recently, in daylight. LED lighting hides worn upholstery and stained flooring. A company that's proud of its fleet sends it within the hour.

Ask the breakdown question. "What happens if the bus has a mechanical issue the morning of my event?" Listen for whether they have a backup vehicle or a partner network. Vague answers mean the risk is yours.
